Originally from Boston, I was drawn to North Carolina because of the blue skies, green grass, and warm hearts. Though I moved here with no local family or friends when I began at the University of North Carolina, I immediately felt comfortable and after some minor adjustments (like learning barbecue is not a sauce but an East/West rivalry) I knew I was where I was supposed to be. Though college days swiftly pass, I still wake up, walk outside and have the exact same joy that can only be explained by one word: Home.
